The St. Barnabas Soccer is now accepting registrations for the Fall 2016 program! There are some changes/additions to the fall soccer so please read the following message carefully regarding the latest information for the program.
This year we will be offering two separate programs for the St. Barnabas students to participate in fall soccer. The first will be the traditional St. Barnabas Inter-mural Soccer program on Saturday mornings. The second will be the St. Walter’s Fall soccer league. Each of these programs is described in more detail below.
Fall Soccer Kick-Off Day
For both programs, Saturday, September 10 will be the fall soccer Kick-Off with a special Chicago Fire skills and coaching clinic. At the Kick Off, we will distribute uniforms and schedules, provide the teams time to practice with the assistance of the Chicago Fire community coaches and provide guidance for the coaches and much more!
Fall Inter-mural Soccer:
- Begins September 10 and running for 6 weeks through October 24 (no games Columbus Day weekend, October 10). The soccer program will continue to focus on a fun environment with games and drills to help develop soccer fundamentals. Students from all grade levels, pre-K3 through 8th grade are welcome to participate. Students in CCD and/or children of St. Barnabas parishioners are also invited to participate.
- Inter-mural soccer will be the same program as last year with small-sided (3 v 3) games.
- Sign up under the “Soccer” selection on the registration page.
- The cost for participation is $15 per child with a maximum of $40 per family.
St. Walter’s Fall League:
- Based on interest from the first through fourth grade families, we are offering students the opportunity to participate in the St. Walter’s fall league.
- The St. Walter's league will feature 7 v 7 or 10 v 10 games depending on the age group.
- The league begins Saturday, September 10, exact schedules to be determined but anticipate 8-10 games through the end of October. All games are played at Prairie Park at 118th and Oakley.
- Cost for the St. Walter’s league is $30 per student for first and second grades and $40 per student for students third grade and higher.
- Participation and teams in this league will depend on registrations received.

Online registration is now and will remain open through Information Sunday (August 21) Any registrations received after August 21 (or registrations submitted without payment) will be considered late and subject a late fee with total cost of $25 per child/$60 per family. Registrations will not be accepted after September 2. Payment should be made out to St. Barnabas Athletic Board and be dropped off at 10354 S Bell Ave (entry on 104th St).
